　The Committee of Capacitor Technology, The Electrochemical Society of Japan, now in its 21th year since establishment, is proud to announce the 2013 International Conference on Advanced Capacitors (ICAC2013). Following the previous conferences (ICAC2003, ICAC2007, and ICAC2010), which were held in Kyoto, we hope that ICAC2013 will be one-of-its-kind, with international contribution from both academia and industry.

　Now we are at a global economy rapidly changing. Since the people's awareness to the global environmental issues is rapidly raising, the new business such as solar cells, electric vehiecles is attracting a lot of interests all around the world. Capacitors including an EDLC, a Li-ion Capacitor and an electrochemical capacitor are highly expected to play concrete roles as a high efficient energy storage device.



   ICAC2013 is a truly significant chance for showing the state-of-the-art R&D in this field. We look forward to welcoming you in early summer of 2013, and hope that you will take this opportunity to experience Osaka.
